Suryachakra Global Enviro Power Limited(SGEPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Suryachakra, had an opportunity in the renewable energy source to establish a 9.8 MW biomass fuel based power plant with the site area of 30 acres near Madwa village in the Champa-Janjgir district of Chhattisgarh State. The project operations started in the May 2008. The project is under operations through a long term power purchase agreement with the Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Limited (CSPDCL). The project has been registered with the UNFCCC for receiving of CERs (Certified Emission Reduction).
In addition to the existing power plant, SGEPL is pursuing on further growth and expansion activities. It is envisaged that the grant of open access would generate attractive revenues. SGEPL expansion activities includes the power project of 20 MW with backward integration of plantations project in a way to create a sustainable biomass model to support not the biomass dearth situations but also to provide continuous fuel supply to the dependent power plants.
Suryachakra has created a Renewable Energy Vertical for focused growth. As part of the restructuring, Suryachakra Global Enviro Power Limited is the Holding Company for South Asian Agro Industries Ltd, MSM Energy Limited and Sri Panchajanya Power Private Limited.

South Asian Agro Industries Limited
South Asian Agro Industries Limited (SAAIL) a wholly owned subsidiary of Suryachakra Global Enviro Power Limited, has established a 9.8MW biomass based power plant at Khajuri village in Baloda Bazar Tehsil, Raipur District, Chhattisgarh. The plant is expected to generate 9.8 MW Power on a continuous basis after commissioning. The plant started commercial operations in end December 2008.
The project is under implementation through long term power purchase agreement with the Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Limited (CSPDCL). The project has been registered with the UNFCCC for receiving of CERs.
As part of its expansion activity the company is setting up a 20 MW biomass based project near 9.8 MW biomass based power plant at Khajuri village, Baloda Bazar Tehsil, Raipur district, Chhattisgarh.
SAAIL is setting up a 5 MW CSP under Generation Based Incentive Scheme of MNRE at Baloda Bazar, PPA was signed with CSPDCL And State Nodal Agency accorded in – principle approval. The project is under active implementation.

MSM Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Suryachakra Global Enviro Power Ltd (SGEPL), is setting up a 10 MW Biomass based power generation plant at Borwand Village in Parabhani district. The project has received all the required permissions, clearances and is being set up in an extent of 20.38 acres of land at Borwand Village. The project has long term PPA with MSEDCL. The project commercial operations commencedduring Nov’2010. The project has been registered with the UNFCCC for receiving of CERs.
As part of its expansion activity the company has proposed to set up a 15 MW biomass based project near 10 MW biomass based power Project near Borwand Village in Parabhani district, Maharashtra.
MSM Energy Limited, Amravathi Plant
MSM Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of SGEPL, is setting up a 10 MW Biomass based power generation plant at Kholapur village in Amravathi district, Maharashtra.
The project has received all the required permissions, clearances, and is being set up at Kholapur village in Amravathi District in an extent of 24.35 acres for the implementation of project. The project has a long term PPA with MSEDCL. The project commercial operations shall commence by Oct’2010. The project has been registered with the UNFCCC for receiving of CERs.
MSM Energy Limited is expanding its activities and is setting up biomass power plants – 20MW in Amravathi district and a 10 MW plant in Parbhani disgtrict, Maharashtra.

Sri Panchajanya Power Private Limited is setting up a 10 MW Biomass based power generation plant at MIDC, Limbala village, Hingoli, Hingoli District, Maharashtra State. SPPPL has taken 84 acres of land at MIDC under long term lease.
Sri Panchajanya Power Pvt. Ltd,(SPPPL) a subsidiary of Lahari Power and Steels Limited, has received all the necessary permissions, clearances and is under active implementation through Engineering procurement and Contract (EPC) with M/s. Ushodaya Energy & Project Consultants Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad. The project has long term PPA with MSEDCL. The project is being pursued for registration under gold standards with the UNFCCC. The project operations commenced in Sept’2010.
SPPPL is establishing a 5 MW CSP at the same site and is in the process of expansion of its biomass plant capacity by 15 MW in Hingoli district, Maharashtra.
